Anyone who doesn’t know Kenji Minogue, must have lived on Mars. For many years the two crazy front women, Sarah Vandeursen and Emilie De Roo, and band, drummer David Van Belleghem, bass guitar player Ben Brunin (ex-Vive La Fete, ex-Disco Drunkards; Isolde et les Bens, André Brasseur & Band), guitarist Sjoerd Bruil (Millionaire, Gruppo Di Pawlowski, Pascal Deweze), have been delivering a different sound in the Belgian music-scene: bold kitschy beats, no-nonsense West-Flemish lyrics and craziness on stage without any limits.
Kenji-fans are die-hard. Why? Kenji Minogue means a guaranteed party and the same counts for their second album ‘En Dermee’. The crazier, the better. Choco in your face, throwing fish, muzzles, having a little fight or a pole dancing on stage: anything goes. Fuck musicbarbies, modesty and awkwardness. After four years of many performances, one CD and eight music videos including the hits ‘Naam Familienaam’ (405,000 views) and ‘Danny’ (391,000 views), it is time to continue the success. The new album varies between lots of dynamite, many stage songs to jump on with the unique Kenji sound and summer singalongs. Last but not least, also one ballad, but in real Kenji way.
