Strictly limited edition box that captures more than two decades of John Mayall's groundbreaking blues performances. 'The Second Generation' is an extensive 30-CD collection that features live shows from 1968 to 1993 around the world. This release features John Mayall's ever-changing cast of blues virtuosos, including guitar greats Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandel, Walter Trout and Coco Montoya, as well as drummers such as Keef Hartley and bass giants such as John McVie and Larry Taylor.

This box set appears coinciding with John Mayall's well-deserved inclusion into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was approved and fully supported by John Mayall prior to his sad death earlier this year.
The set also includes a 120-page hardback book with an introduction and contributions by Gaz Mayall as well as many previously unshown photos.
